Editorial Design - The Brief
Research the vast design industry and focus on the best design companies, what their unique selling points are, their history, their philosophy, projects and clients, their awards, etc.
• Develop a brochure for the given company, featuring your information in an innovative format.
• Compile and edit the text for your design - make it attractive, informative and enjoyable to read.
• Consider scale, balance, alignment, the use of space, structure and material, etc., but most importantly, clear communication.

This project reflects my interpretation of SPIN's work presented in a creative format. The brochure features a vinyl cover and a rotating vinyl disc that includes a quote from Tony Brook, co-founder of SPIN and Unit Editions, highlighting his design principles and standards. Additionally, the inner brochure unfolds to display content on both sides.

DESIGN PROCESS
Most of the time, the design process begins with research and then sketches on paper. Letting the wild imagination go, this was the way of working before genAI.
The initial concept for the shape of the brochure originated from fortune-teller origami. Given the style of SPIN's design work, this seemed to be a suitable match.le match.
EXPLORATIONS
A portion of the work was done in Adobe Illustrator.
